A creative force to be reckoned with, Jenny Fares has been an active player in Asheville’s artistic community for over 20 years. Jenny is a mover, shaker, and all around crowd rouser.

 She is a graphic designer, brand consultant and illustrator. Jenny started her career working for some of Atlanta’s top ad agencies, designing for Coca-Cola, M&M Mars, UPS and more. She left the big city for the relaxed pace of Asheville in 2002, and opened Sound Mind Creative in 2004. 

While building a national client base, Jenny works with many of Asheville’s most loved brands like the Go Local Card, Asheville On Bikes, Farm to Home Milk, PennyCup Coffee, UNCA, AB Tech, the City of Asheville and many more. 

She was honored to be named Best of Graphic Design in WNC by Mountain Xpress readers in 2012 and 2013. As a founder of Asheville Design Salon, Music Video Asheville and co-founder AIGA Asheville, she made a valuable impact on the professional creative community. Her leadership is a catalyst for engagement, stimulation, and dialogue surrounding the emerging graphic design scene. The Lobby at Different World is her latest project supporting the creative industry by highlighting talent in the fine and commercial professional art community.
