A long time resident of Western North Carolina, Shane first landed in Brevard in 2002 to finish his college degree in business management and experiential education. Afterwards, he decided he return to Brevard College for a music performance degree and graduated in 2008. He has been in Asheville running Online Training Concepts since 2019 focusing on building digital learning ecosystems, creating training content, and building software to maximize engagement and interactivity.

He started a new company in 2023 – Aktïga – that focuses on building spatial software and VR applications for the web. As the Web Co-Chair for AIGA Asheville in 2023, Shane helped manage the Asheville AIGA website and support the local creator community with web development services through his technical team. As the current Vice President he is dedicated to building bridges with the entire creative community in Asheville.
